Tools CrewAI
Tool : A precise action the AI can call · requires crewai
Ready-to-use tool catalogue for CrewAI agent teams.
Handy to get started, but each tool should be audited individually.
Security reflects where data goes, requested permissions and incidents on record at the verification date. It is not a guarantee of zero risk: check the deployment mode and the connections you enable.
What it does, concretely
Building an AI agent capable of acting on files, websites, or databases requires assembling many technical components from scratch. Tools CrewAI addresses this by offering a catalogue of more than 40 ready-to-use tools, covering document reading, web search, database queries, and many other use cases.
In practice, each tool is imported from the crewai_tools Python package and added to a CrewAI agent's tools list. The required API keys must then be configured depending on the chosen tool. Some tools also allow limiting the number of uses via the max_usage_count parameter, which helps control costs or external API calls.
This catalogue is aimed at Python developers building agent teams with the CrewAI framework who want to avoid recoding common connectors. Non-technical profiles or those working outside the CrewAI ecosystem will not benefit from it directly.
Each tool should be evaluated individually before being used in production, particularly to check what data it sends to third-party services and which API keys it requires.
