herdr
App : A product you use directly
Agent multiplexer in Rust that detects Claude Code, Codex or Amp and displays their status: blocked, working, done, idle.
The next-generation tmux for anyone running multiple agents, on any OS.
Security reflects where data goes, requested permissions and incidents on record at the verification date. It is not a guarantee of zero risk: check the deployment mode and the connections you enable.
What it does, concretely
When running several coding agents in parallel, it quickly becomes hard to know which one is waiting for an answer, which is still working, and which has finished. Herdr solves this by acting as a centralised runtime for all your agents, regardless of how many you run or which tools you use.
Herdr works as a background server that keeps terminals alive even if you close your client or lose your SSH connection. Each pane is marked in real time as working, blocked, or idle, and a local socket API lets agents drive each other, spawn panes, or wait until another agent is genuinely blocked before stepping in.
The tool is aimed at developers who orchestrate multiple coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, opencode, or Grok, across one or several machines. It does not replace those tools: it owns their terminals and groups them in a single window, with both keyboard and mouse navigation.
Herdr is not suited to those who only run one agent at a time or who have no need to leave processes running in the background. Getting started requires a reasonable comfort level with command-line environments.
