Foodvisor
Tool : standalone product, used directly
Nutritional tracking with AI-powered meal recognition by photo.
Practical for calorie tracking, photo scan reserved for Premium.
What it does, concretely
Keeping a daily food diary is often abandoned because entering each item manually takes time and quickly becomes tedious. Foodvisor addresses this problem by letting users photograph their plate: the app identifies the foods, estimates quantities, and provides nutritional data within seconds.
In practice, users have several input methods available: AI-powered meal photo recognition (reserved for the Premium plan), barcode scanning for packaged products, voice logging, quick text search, or classic manual entry. After each logged meal, the app displays calories, macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber) as well as a breakdown of vitamins and minerals. Tracking also extends to hydration, weight, and physical activity, with Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit (Android) synchronization.
Foodvisor suits people who want to lose weight, build muscle, or simply better understand their eating habits, without an imposed restrictive diet. The Premium plan gives access to over 500 daily lessons on nutrition and motivation, as well as a library of over 300 recipes with detailed nutritional information.
The app is less suited to people with a history of disordered eating, as it classifies foods using a color-coded system (from red to green). It is also not ideal for those seeking follow-up with a human dietitian: this feature, once available, has been removed. Users of Fitbit or Garmin watches will not find direct synchronization.
