Deciding what to cook each evening and filling a shopping cart takes time and mental energy. Jow solves both problems in a single app: it suggests a personalised weekly menu and turns that menu into a ready-to-order shopping basket at your usual supermarket.
In practice, you enter your household size, tastes and kitchen equipment, then connect to a partner retailer (Auchan, Carrefour, Chronodrive, Courses U, Intermarché or Monoprix). Jow selects recipes from a catalogue of more than 5,000 options and automatically fills your basket with the right quantities, at in-store prices and including available promotions.
The app is aimed at people who want to eat in a balanced way without spending too much time on it or going over budget. It suits families and individuals alike, and supports many dietary preferences: vegetarian, gluten-free, high-protein, low-calorie or anti-inflammatory.
On the other hand, Jow is of little use if you shop exclusively in physical stores without using click-and-collect or delivery, or if you prefer to plan your meals entirely on your own without algorithmic suggestions.
