What it does, concretely

Many people accumulate tasks in their heads, on sticky notes, or in messaging threads, and end up losing track of what is truly a priority. Todoist centralises all these tasks in one place, accessible across all devices.

The app lets you enter tasks in natural language: typing 'meeting Friday at 10am' is enough to create a task with the right date. An AI feature called Todoist Assist works in the background to turn scattered notes into structured action plans. The Today, Upcoming, and custom filter views let you see only what matters at any given moment.

Todoist is aimed at professionals and individuals who want to manage their personal and team projects from a single tool, without complex onboarding. The app is available on web, macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android, and offers more than 50 ready-to-use project templates.

However, people who need advanced project management features such as Gantt charts, built-in time tracking, or billing will not find those functions in Todoist.

Download the app from the Downloads page on the site for macOS, Windows, iOS, or Android depending on your device. 4.
