What it does, concretely
Managing an overloaded inbox and keeping up with long email threads takes a significant amount of time. Claude for Outlook integrates the Claude assistant directly into Microsoft Outlook to reduce that burden.
In practice, the plugin lets you summarise email threads, draft messages, manage your calendar and analyse attachments without leaving Outlook. It relies on paid Claude plans (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise) to operate.
This plugin is aimed at professionals who spend a large part of their day in Outlook and want to save time on reading and writing emails.
It is not suited to users on the free Claude plan, nor to those who do not use Microsoft 365 as their main work environment.
