Security reflects where data goes, requested permissions and incidents on record at the verification date. It is not a guarantee of zero risk: check the deployment mode and the connections you enable.

What it does, concretely

Managing multiple language model providers in production creates growing complexity: costs that are hard to track, unexpected outages, sensitive data exposed to external APIs, and no per-team access control. Requesty sits between your application and 600+ models to centralize all of this in a single point.

In practice, you simply replace the base URL of your OpenAI client with Requesty's. The service then handles intelligent routing to the most suitable model, automatic failover in under 14ms when a provider goes down, semantic caching of requests, and detection and scrubbing of personal data before it reaches the model.

Requesty is aimed at technical teams deploying applications in production who want to control costs, comply with data residency requirements (notably in Europe via Frankfurt), and enforce access policies per user or group. Documented use cases include B2B platforms, legal marketplaces, and multi-model generative AI applications.

On the other hand, an individual developer experimenting without governance or compliance constraints will likely find the tool oversized for their needs. The 5% markup on model costs can also become significant at very high volumes without a negotiated enterprise plan.

What it offers

  • ·Intelligent routing to 600+ models through a single OpenAI-compatible API.
  • ·Automatic failover to a backup provider in under 14ms when an outage occurs.
  • ·Semantic caching of requests to reduce costs and latency.
  • ·Automatic detection and scrubbing of personal data (emails, phone numbers, credit card numbers) before sending to the model.
  • ·Geo-based routing with data residency: European requests stay on AWS eu-central-1 in Frankfurt.
  • ·Per-team, per-user, or per-API-key control policies: spending limits, model allowlists, usage quotas.
  • ·Real-time observability dashboard: costs by model, latency, request volume, and complete audit logs.
  • ·Bring Your Own Keys option to keep negotiated pricing contracts with each provider while benefiting from routing and observability.

How to install Requesty

1. Create an account at app.requesty.ai and retrieve your API key from the "API Keys" section. 2. In your code, replace the base URL of your OpenAI client with https://router.requesty.ai/v1 and use your Requesty key as the api_key. 3. Select the desired model using the provider/model format (example: anthropic/claude-opus-5). 4. If you have European data residency requirements, use https://router.eu.requesty.ai/v1 instead. 5. Configure your routing policies, spending limits, and model allowlists from the dashboard, without modifying application code. 6. Never share your Requesty API key in versioned source code; use environment variables.
client = OpenAI(base_url='https://router.requesty.ai/v1', api_key='your-requesty-key')
