Following a meeting while taking comprehensive notes is challenging: important exchanges get missed or time is spent writing up afterwards. ZoomMate (formerly Zoom AI Companion) integrates directly into Zoom Workplace to capture, summarise and turn conversations into concrete deliverables.
In practice, the tool generates meeting summaries, answers questions asked live during a call, takes automatic notes via My Notes, and can trigger post-meeting actions: Salesforce updates, follow-up emails, slide deck or document creation. It relies on an AI credit system (2,200 credits per user per month on the paid plan) and can connect to third-party tools such as Google Drive, Jira or OneDrive.
ZoomMate is aimed at teams and professionals who already use Zoom as their main meeting platform and want to automate the management of their meeting notes, follow-ups and deliverables without changing their work environment.
It is less suited to people who hold their meetings primarily on other platforms (Teams, Meet), or who are looking for an AI assistant independent of their video conferencing tool.
