What it does, concretely

Following a meeting while taking thorough notes is challenging: important exchanges get missed, or time is spent writing up a summary afterwards. Tactiq solves this by transcribing meetings live, directly from the browser.

The Chrome extension captures real-time transcriptions on Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, without a bot joining the call. It identifies speakers, supports over 60 languages, and automatically generates a summary, action items and answers to custom questions as soon as the meeting ends.

Tactiq is aimed at professionals who move from one meeting to the next and need reliable follow-up without manual effort: project managers, sales teams, consultants, or anyone working in a multilingual environment.

However, the tool is not suited to those who do not use Chrome, who hold meetings outside of Meet, Zoom or Teams, or who need a solution that does not rely on third-party APIs such as OpenAI's.

Enable the notification to participants that you are transcribing the meeting: the transcription is only visible to you by default, but informing others is good practice.

Tactiq works exclusively through Chrome: no native application is available for other browsers or operating systems.
Meeting content is processed via the OpenAI API; even though OpenAI commits not to use this data to train its models, it involves a transfer to a third-party service that should be considered in light of your internal data policy.

How to install Tactiq

1. Open the Chrome Web Store and search for "Tactiq", or click the "Add to Chrome" button on tactiq.io. 2. Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm the installation in the pop-up window. 3. Create a Tactiq account or sign in with your Google account. 4. Join a meeting on Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams: the extension activates automatically. 5. Make sure you have informed participants that the meeting is being transcribed, in line with your organisation's policies. 6. At the end of the meeting, review the summary and action items automatically generated in the Tactiq interface.
