Taking notes during a meeting while staying focused on the conversation is challenging. Otter solves this by automatically transcribing exchanges in real time, whether from video calls or recordings made directly on a device.
The tool sends an AI agent into your Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams meetings, or records directly from the Mac or Windows desktop app without a visible bot. It produces a transcript with speaker recognition, a structured summary, decisions, and automatically assigned action items.
Otter is aimed at sales teams, recruiters, journalists, and educators who want to easily retrieve the content of their conversations. It connects to tools such as Slack, Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Drive, Notion, and Jira to push information where it is needed.
It is less suitable for people handling sensitive or confidential data, given the ongoing privacy litigation and the access granted to the microphone and meetings.
