Taking notes during a meeting often forces a choice between listening and writing. Granola solves this by capturing your computer's audio in the background and automatically generating structured notes as soon as the meeting ends.
In practice, Granola syncs with your calendar, prepares a context brief before each external meeting (attendees, history, open points), then transcribes the conversation without sending a bot into the room. You can add your own notes during the call; the tool then enriches them with the transcription content to produce a personalised summary.
Granola is designed for professionals who have back-to-back meetings on Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or in person. The mobile app also lets you capture conversations during walking meetings, conferences or informal catch-ups.
However, Granola is less suited to teams that need access to notes older than 30 days without upgrading to a paid plan, or to organisations with strict data residency requirements outside the Enterprise plan.
