Manually transcribing a meeting or writing up its minutes takes time and leads to oversights. Fireflies automates this task by recording, transcribing, and summarizing each meeting as soon as it ends.
A bot named Fred joins your calls via direct invitation or calendar connection. It records the conversation, identifies each speaker, generates a structured summary with key points and action items, then syncs this information with your tools (CRM, project management, Slack). You can also transcribe audio or video files uploaded manually (MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A).
Fireflies is primarily aimed at sales teams, recruiters, marketing teams, and any organization that holds many meetings and wants to keep usable records of them. Support for over 100 languages with automatic detection makes it suitable for multilingual contexts.
It is less suited to people who hold very informal or confidential meetings where participants cannot be informed of a recording bot, or to those who only need occasional transcription without a subscription.
