Step by step

Write the message in one sentence
Before any tool: what should the audience remember? Write it down. A deck generated without that sentence is a catalogue.

Approve the outline, not the slides
First ask for an outline of 8 to 12 titles. Fix it yourself. Generating slides before a good outline means doing the work twice.

Generate
In Gamma, paste notes + approved outline. Set “one idea per slide” and “short text”. Generated images are to be replaced by your own.

Style
Export as PPTX and apply your theme (Canva or PowerPoint). Replace every generated image with real screenshots, diagrams, or nothing.

Cut
Delete one slide in four. It is almost always possible and it is what makes the deck watchable.

- 600 words of notes for a project status update to an executive committee, 15 minutes of speaking time.

- Here are my notes and the main message: “the project is on schedule but the training budget must be decided this month”. Propose an outline of 10 slides maximum, one line per slide, with the main message on slide 2 and the requested decision on the last slide. Do not write the content yet.

- 9-slide outline, 2 titles reworded by hand. Gamma generation, PPTX export, company theme applied in PowerPoint, 6 generated images replaced by 2 charts and 4 image-free slides. Total time: 35 minutes.
