Security reflects where data goes, requested permissions and incidents on record at the verification date. It is not a guarantee of zero risk: check the deployment mode and the connections you enable.

What it does, concretely

AI agents and developers often need to query Google in real time, but direct access to search results is either expensive or technically complex. Serper solves this by offering an API that returns Google results in 1 to 2 seconds, at one of the lowest prices on the market.

In practice, you send an HTTP request to the Serper API with an authentication key and a search term. The API returns a structured JSON object containing organic results, the knowledge graph, related questions, and related searches. No HTML scraping of Google is required.

Serper covers several search types: web, images, news, maps, places, videos, shopping, Google Scholar, patents, and autocomplete. This allows an AI agent to select the right result type depending on the context of the request.

This tool is aimed at developers building AI agents, LangChain pipelines, or any automated system that needs fresh Google data. It is not suitable for general public use without technical skills, as it is used exclusively via an API or LangChain.

What it offers

  • ·Google web search via API with structured JSON response in 1 to 2 seconds.
  • ·Google image search accessible via a dedicated type parameter.
  • ·Search across Google News, Google Maps, Google Shopping, and Google Scholar.
  • ·Patent search and Google autocomplete suggestions available through the API.
  • ·Native integration with LangChain for AI agent pipelines.
  • ·2,500 free queries upon sign-up, no credit card required.
  • ·Pay-as-you-go billing beyond the free quota (paid).
