Firecrawl scrape, crawl, search
Tool : A precise action the AI can call · requires firecrawl-api
Full website extraction to markdown, callable by an agent.
The most capable tool for feeding an agent with web content.
Security reflects where data goes, requested permissions and incidents on record at the verification date. It is not a guarantee of zero risk: check the deployment mode and the connections you enable.
What it does, concretely
Feeding web content into an AI agent is often blocked by JavaScript rendering, anti-bot protections, or messy page formatting. Firecrawl solves this by exposing an API that converts any URL into clean markdown or structured JSON, ready to be consumed by a language model.
In practice, the tool offers three main operations: scraping a single page, crawling an entire website, or running a web search and retrieving the full content of the results. It handles proxy rotation, JavaScript rendering, and rate limits behind the scenes, with no configuration required from the user. An Interact feature also lets you act on a page after loading it: click a button, fill a form, or navigate to a sub-page.
Firecrawl is aimed at developers building AI agents, data pipelines, or applications that need real-time web content. It is compatible with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, and any MCP client, and can be controlled via Python, Node.js, a CLI, or direct cURL calls.
This service is not suited for general audiences without technical skills: there is no standalone graphical interface, and every operation consumes credits. Users who only occasionally need to read a web page do not need this tool.
