What it does, concretely
Practicing along with a recorded track is often frustrating: your part overlaps with the original recording, making learning confusing. Moises solves this by isolating each instrument in a song so you can focus on the part that matters to you.
In practice, you upload an audio file or a song, and the app automatically separates vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, keys, winds, strings, and more, up to 27 stem types. You can then mute the part you play, slow down the tempo without changing the pitch, or transpose the track to a different key.
Moises is aimed at musicians of all levels who want to improve on real songs, teachers preparing learning materials, and bands who want to collaborate remotely through Moises Studio, a real-time shared workspace that runs directly in the browser.
However, if you are looking for a full-featured music production suite with an advanced sequencer or a sound library, Moises is not designed for that. The number of uploads is limited on the free plan, which may be a constraint for heavy use without a subscription.
