What it does, concretely
Joining a video call from a café, an open-plan office, or a noisy home environment disrupts the quality of conversations. Krisp addresses this by suppressing background noise, echoes, and cross-talk in real time, on both the microphone and speaker sides.
The application installs on Windows or macOS and acts as a virtual audio device: it intercepts the audio signal before it reaches Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddles, or any other conferencing tool. Noise cancellation runs locally on the device, without sending audio to external servers. Notes and transcriptions, however, are processed via the cloud.
Krisp also includes an AI meeting assistant that transcribes conversations, generates summaries, lists action items, and can sync that information with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Slack. Transcription is available in English with on-device processing, and in 15 additional languages including French via Krisp's servers.
Krisp is aimed at professionals who attend frequent online meetings from noisy environments, as well as internationally distributed teams. It is less suited to people who work exclusively in quiet settings and have no need to automate note-taking.
