Grok 4.5, released July 8 2026, is SpaceXAI's first public model since the SpaceX–xAI merger and the first trained on Cursor data. 500K-token context, $2/$6 per million tokens — less than half the rate of comparable models from Anthropic and OpenAI. Elon Musk positions it as "roughly comparable to Opus 4.7, but much faster", an explicit trade of speed and cost over raw capability. It scores 54 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index and takes the top spot on agentic tool use. Around 80 tokens per second. Web/X search tool calls are billed at $5 per 1,000.
