Claude Opus 5.5

Anthropic
EU hosting Card data 75/100 Trust Index 55
Verdict

A good performance / EU-hosting balance for a European company.

Overview

Claude Opus 5.5 was released on 22 September 2026. It is the first model in the Claude 5.5 family; Anthropic announced Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 for the following weeks. According to the vendor, it needs less compute than Opus 5, which explains the lower price of $4 input and $20 output per million tokens. It is available on the Claude Platform, AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, with a 1 million token context window. Performance figures are Anthropic's own and have not been independently verified by nAIvigate.
