In practice, a side panel (the Comet Assistant) opens on the right of any page. The agentic mode (Comet Agent) goes further: it navigates, clicks, fills in forms, and executes multi-step tasks on your behalf, such as booking a service or sorting emails.
Comet suits people whose days revolve around monitoring, reading articles, research, or managing repetitive online tasks. Familiar Chrome extensions remain compatible, making the switch from Chrome straightforward.
It is less suited to users who work primarily offline, who have strict confidentiality requirements for sensitive professional data, or who simply do not need daily AI assistance.
