What it does, concretely
Editing a multicam video podcast requires watching every take, manually clicking between angles, and repeating the process for hours. WizCut automates this first pass by detecting who is speaking and generating cuts directly inside the Premiere Pro timeline.
In practice, you place your audio and multicam sequence in the timeline, name each speaker and assign them to a camera, then WizCut analyzes the audio and produces the cuts. The result integrates with Premiere Pro's native multicam workflow: you can click a different angle in the program monitor to override any AI-generated cut.
WizCut is designed for editors who regularly produce video podcasts, interviews, or roundtables in Premiere Pro. It also suits creators working with a single mixed audio track, a situation most competing tools handle poorly.
However, WizCut is not suited to one-off projects where manual cutting is still manageable, nor to DaVinci Resolve users, as the plugin is exclusive to Premiere Pro. It does not offer silence removal, subtitles, or vertical reframing: those features must be sourced elsewhere.
