What it does, concretely
Creating a professional-quality 3D model normally requires hours of work in specialized software. Hyper3D Rodin Gen-2.5 lets you generate a detailed 3D asset from a single image or a text description in seconds, with no 3D modeling experience required.
The tool analyzes the provided image or text and produces a mesh with clean quad topology, ready-to-use UVs, and PBR materials. The result can be exported in common formats: STL, FBX, OBJ, GLB, GLTF, and USDZ. Advanced controls allow you to guide generation using bounding boxes, voxels, or point clouds.
Rodin is aimed at game developers, product teams, artists, architecture studios, and anyone who needs 3D assets for production pipelines, 3D printing, augmented reality, or e-commerce. An API is available to integrate generation into third-party tools, and native plugins exist for Blender, Unity, Unreal, Godot, Maya, and 3DS Max.
However, the tool is less suited to users who need full control over every vertex or who work on projects requiring very fine organic modeling without a manual retouching step. Since data is processed server-side, avoid submitting confidential visuals without reviewing the terms of use.
What it offers
- ·3D model generation from an image or text, with quad topology and PBR materials.
- ·Advanced spatial controls via bounding boxes, voxels, and point clouds to guide the generated shape.
- ·Partial editing of an existing asset without rebuilding the entire model.
- ·Automatic low-poly optimization to reduce mesh density while keeping smooth surfaces.
- ·Export in six standard formats: STL, FBX, OBJ, GLB, GLTF, and USDZ.
- ·Native plugins for Blender, Unity, Unreal, Godot, Maya, 3DS Max, and ComfyUI (paid).
- ·API access to automate generation and integrate it into production pipelines (paid).
- ·Team management with SSO, shared asset workspaces, and role-based access controls (paid).
