OrcaSlicer
App : A product you use directly
Open source slicer with assisted calibration and camera failure detection.
The community's favourite slicer.
Security reflects where data goes, requested permissions and incidents on record at the verification date. It is not a guarantee of zero risk: check the deployment mode and the connections you enable.
What it does, concretely
Preparing a file for 3D printing means converting a digital model into instructions the printer can follow. Most slicers expose few advanced settings, forcing users to juggle test files and repeated trial runs. OrcaSlicer brings calibration and fine-grained control together in a single free tool.
The software generates temperature towers, flow rate tests, pressure advance, and retraction tests directly inside the interface. It also lets you set speed, layer height, and temperature independently for each zone of a part: walls, infill, and supports. Jobs can be sent over the network to printers running Klipper, PrusaLink, or OctoPrint.
OrcaSlicer is aimed at FDM printer users who want to go beyond default profiles: experienced makers, hobbyists who frequently switch filaments or machines, and anyone who wants to understand and control every parameter of their prints.
On the other hand, someone looking for a simple tool to start a print without any configuration may find the feature-rich interface overwhelming. Belt printer support is still under active development and is only available in separate experimental builds.
What it offers
- ·Built-in calibration suite: temperature towers, flow rate, pressure advance, retraction, and max volumetric speed tests, all generated inside the slicer.
- ·Wall and seam control: adjustable outer-wall spacing and scarf seams to minimize visible seam lines on finished parts.
- ·Intelligent support generation with overhang detection and precise placement for easier removal.
- ·Adaptive bed mesh: probes only the area the print occupies, speeding up first-layer calibration.
- ·Automatic mouse-ear brims for improved adhesion on warp-prone prints.
- ·Sandwich mode and polyholes: alternating wall and infill order for cleaner overhangs, and holes printed to exact CAD dimensions.
- ·Per-feature overrides: speed, layer height, pressure, and temperature set independently for walls, infill, and supports.
- ·Network printing support for Klipper, PrusaLink, and OctoPrint, with ready-made profiles for Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Voron, and more.
