Neat Video
Plugin : A set of capabilities installed into an AI application or a host · requires premiere
Reference video denoiser with learned noise profiles.
The pro denoiser everyone ends up buying.

What it does, concretely
Videos shot in low light, with a small sensor or high ISO, show visible digital noise: grain, flicker, and color artifacts. Neat Video is a filter designed to remove these imperfections from footage produced by cameras, drones, phones, TV tuners, film or VHS digitizers, and even CGI renders.
The plugin works in two stages: it first analyzes a flat, uniform area of the frame to build a noise profile specific to the source, then applies a combination of temporal filtering (comparing several consecutive frames) and spatial filtering (frame-by-frame processing across multiple frequencies) to distinguish noise from real detail and reduce one without erasing the other.
Neat Video is aimed at editors and colorists who already work in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or one of the twenty-plus compatible applications, and who want precise control over the result rather than a one-click automatic process.
It is less suited to users looking for a fast tool with no learning curve: the quality of the result depends directly on the care taken in building the noise profile, and render times can be long on high-resolution sequences.
What it offers
- ·Automatic noise profiling: the plugin analyzes a flat area of the frame and generates a profile in one click, reusable for footage from the same device.
- ·Advanced temporal filter: compares several consecutive frames to identify and remove noise variations between them.
- ·Sophisticated spatial filter: reduces residual noise frame by frame across a range of frequencies, independently of the temporal filter.
- ·Flicker reduction: dedicated mechanisms to suppress localized or frame-wide flicker, which also improves the accuracy of noise reduction.
- ·Special modes for repeated frames and detail jitter: adapted processing for night-mode clips, artificially increased frame rates, or footage showing fine-detail shimmer.
- ·GPU acceleration: leverages NVIDIA (CUDA) and AMD (OpenCL/Metal) cards to cut render times; Pro and Studio editions use multiple GPUs and CPU cores simultaneously. (paid)
- ·Support for all frame sizes without limit (Full HD, 4K, 8K, etc.) in the Pro and Studio editions. (paid)
- ·Real-time preview and playback directly in the plugin window, with comparison modes to evaluate the result before export.
