What it does, concretely
Creating a 3D model usually requires hours of work in complex software. Meshy generates a textured 3D model in under a minute from a text description or an image, with no prior technical skills needed.
In practice, you type a description or upload a photo, sketch, or concept art. Meshy then produces a 3D model with full PBR textures (albedo, normal, metallic, roughness), exportable in several formats depending on your use case: FBX, GLB, OBJ, USDZ, STL, 3MF.
The tool is aimed at indie game developers, 3D printing enthusiasts, designers, educators, and anyone who wants to quickly obtain a 3D asset without mastering Blender or equivalent software. A built-in conversational agent helps beginners shape their ideas.
However, professionals who need precise topology control or an advanced production pipeline will find the editing options limited. Models generated on the free plan are subject to the CC BY licence, which restricts certain commercial uses.
