What it does, concretely
Creating a convincing talking character in video usually requires complex software, time, and technical skills. Hedra lets you generate an expressive animated character from a single image and an audio file, with no installation or special expertise needed.
In practice, the user uploads a photo or illustration into the online studio, pairs it with an audio recording or synthesized voice, and Hedra produces a video in which the character speaks with synchronized facial expressions. All processing happens on Hedra's servers, directly through the browser.
Hedra is aimed at content creators, marketing teams, communicators, and developers who want to integrate talking avatars into their projects via an API. More than 125,000 businesses have used Hedra's infrastructure.
However, people who need fully local processing for strict privacy reasons, or who work without a reliable internet connection, will find this solution unsuitable: all data passes through the company's servers.
