What it does, concretely
Editing spoken-word video content such as podcasts, interviews, and tutorials involves hours of repetitive work: removing silences, adding subtitles, and cutting repeated phrases. FireCut automates these tasks directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, without leaving your usual editing software.
FireCut works as a plugin integrated into the timeline: it analyses audio, detects silences, filler words (um, uh), repetitions, and profanity, then suggests cuts that you can review before applying. It also generates captions in more than 50 languages, automatic chapters, dynamic zoom cuts, and can identify highlight moments to create short-form 9:16 content.
FireCut is aimed at content creators, professional editors, and production agencies who regularly work on long-form spoken video. It also includes access to B-roll footage via Storyblocks, music and sound effect search, and multicam tools for podcasts and interviews.
However, FireCut is not suitable for those who do not use Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, or for editors who primarily work on content without speech. An internet connection is required for all features that rely on AI or transcription.
