What it does, concretely
Designing a 3D mechanical part traditionally requires years of practice with complex CAD software. Zoo Text-to-CAD lets you describe a part in plain language and receive a parametric solid model that is immediately editable and exportable.
The tool is built around Zoo Design Studio, an environment that combines classic point-and-click input, code-based design through a language called KCL, and an AI agent named Zookeeper. Zookeeper interprets design intent, proposes constraints, generates B-rep geometry, and checks manufacturability throughout the process.
Zoo is aimed at engineers, hardware designers, and makers who want to move quickly from a concept to an editable solid model without starting over at every iteration. The models produced are true B-rep geometry rather than meshes, making them compatible with professional workflows.
However, people who have no need for precise mechanical parts, or who work exclusively with mesh formats such as STL for consumer 3D printing, will find the tool more than they need for their use case.
